All-In for the Red Cross
Filipino Poker Tour holds 4th leg with charity invitational
OVER a hundred poker enthusiasts and professional poker players from Manila's most exclusive circles are expected to play for charity at the Filipino Poker Tour 4: All-in for the Red Cross Rebuy Charity Tournament on August 9, 2008 at the Metro Card Club in Pasig City.
Sponsored by PokerStars.com and supported by society columnist and fashion icon Tessa Prieto-Valdes, the Pagcor-sanctioned tour promises to be a fun-filled and action-packed competition as it pits Tessa's friends against FPT players.
The winnings will be donated to the Philippine National Red Cross (Makati Chapter).
Freerolls are being held online every night at 7 and 10 until August 8 where qualifiers vie for forty seats to the live tournament on August 9. "We are glad to organize this charity tournament with Ms. Valdes and her friends. This is part of her and our continuing commitment to give back to society," the tour organizers said.
This is the first time that the Filipino Poker Tour is holding a charity invitational. The staging of its first three legs was met with enthusiastic response.
